Founded segskidplate.com in 2006 after he purchased his Segway XT in Dec of 2005. He used it a few times off-road while out riding in the southern California desert and was always concerned that damage could occur to those expensive batteries. Well that is when the Segskidplate was born. In addition Jimmy decided that a kickstand would sure be nice when he rode his XT to the store or parked it for the night so i would stay upright. Then in the fall of 2006 when the new i2 was introduced we carried the same idea from the XT over to the new i2 and x2 machines since at that time there were no kickstand available for the Gen 2 Machines. After a few revisions we have come up with one of the few kickstands that works and clears curbs for the i2 Segway. Jimmy has been an avid enthusiast of the Segway, atteniding group "glides" regularly and is always coming up with new ways to modify his Segway XT, which he now calls an X2-T.

Is Jimmy's son and has been around Segways since Jimmy got his. In 2008 he was able to purchase a pre owned i2 and has always been behind the scenes involved with segskidplate.com from packing parts to designing our website and instruction sheets. He is our webmaster and an avid Segway enthusiast that glides as often as he can and loves his i2. This year he was able to powdercoat and paint his segway to give it that pure custom look.
